Working to Empower Women in the Discovery Zone through Networking and Information Sharing
The Discovery Women's Network (DWN) began as a group of women getting together to discuss the need for an organization that would represent women in the area. We held our first Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers in 1997.
Most recently we have completed a Zone wide needs assessment that was made possible through funding from Status of Women Canada. Our other activities include a wreath fundraiser to benefit single parent families, a guest speaker series and a quarterly newsletter.
What can the DWN do for you?
Our resource collection can help you learn more about the issues affecting women in our province and our country.
We can put you in contact with other organizations and services in our region.
We can assist with the design and delivery of workshops on various topics for your class, business or organization.
By becoming a member you can ensure that women's voices are heard in the Discovery Zone.
